Yuma Main Library
At 80,000 square feet, the new Main Library includes a Friends of the Library store, a café, meeting and study rooms, a Teen Room, an Arizona Room for special collections, a Nonprofit Resource Center, and a pick-up window. Sternco’s engineering services included mechanical, plumbing, and fire sprinkler design engineering and building commissioning. Recent work includes mechanical and electrical engineering for the replacement of all rooftop HVAC units and select DDC devices.
Yuma County Libraries DDC Systems Integration: Sternco provided engineering services to successfully integrate all of the (6) Library branches into a single “Front end or host”. The platform was required to not only integrate the existing HVAC DDC controls into one platform but also be expandable to other features at each facility such as lighting controls, fire alarm and life safety status and notification, security and access, utility management, and energy consumption.
